A trip to Shan State. Rooster crow alarm clock. Lights out at 10.
& in between – frosty breath mornings on the porch. Bucket showers. A graduation ceremony of young community medics ready to serve their homeland – an area where medical care is virtually inaccessible. Afternoon uphill walks (w/umbrellas for shade). Visits to the shop. Cane ball at dusk. A feast of pork (used the day before to practice abscess removal). Warm tea & games of 500.
So much laughing. It’s fair to say, my first time in Burma was a success.
